Two years ago, I decided to open my own yoga studio and share my practice with residents across Metro-Detroit. The Trap Yoga + Massage Studio is located in Lathrup Vilage. Every day there are classes in a variety of styles. All are welcome to enjoy an experience and explore new ways to appreciate their body through yoga. YOGA BEATS

This class is an Ashtanga Yoga influenced class that uses several of the traditional postures to produces intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies the muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body and a calm mind. We take this method of yoga that involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures and teach you how to let it flow to the latest beats. Join us for the best hour of your day, as you build and strengthen your practice. Leave feeling strong, clear and ready to take on whatever the city has in store for you.

YOGA BEATS N YIN

This class blends Yoga Beats and Yin yoga poses to deeply stretch the connective tissues of the body,with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.Yin is a slow paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time, as you open and lengthen tight muscles.

YOGA ABS

Introducing "yoga abs" this is not to be mistaken for a yoga class. This is 30 minutes of hardcore ab work using yoga poses that will directly tone, shape and shed belly fat; giving you the core you've been looking for!

Yoga Private

Intersted in growing your practice? Are you dealing with a nagging pain? Are you just looking to gain more knowledge on the fundamental parts of yoga like the breath and poses. Then private yoga sessions is perfect for you. Jamel digs deep into the client’s obstacles and motivations. This is crucial for helping to set realistic goals for the student, and ultimately helping to achieve them. The goal is always to build up the students practice until they feel comfortable practicing at home or in large classes.

Note: Each class teaches the importance of breath with movement while focusing on the meditative state necessary to increase performance at intense levels. Music is used to bring the student to the moment. The beats,lyrics and volume is strategically used to heighten the energy in the room. This moving meditation brings you to a physical and mental edge. Daily putting you at the center of victory and defeat. Learning if you dig through the layers of frustration,you'll find that strength with each breath makes defeat unfathomable.
