Jamel Randall, a native of Detroit, MI, brings a refreshing and lively approach to sharing the importance of mindfulness and self-liberation. Following the loss of both parents to cancer in 2007, Jamel took on the role of guardian for his disabled sister, experiencing a profound shift in his life at just 21 years old.

A friend's suggestion led Jamel to yoga, starting with a single session that evolved into a deep dive into the practice. Through extensive studies, practice, and training worldwide in yoga, massage therapy, and the principles of Eastern medicine over 18 years, Jamel recognized a growing need in communities for these healing modalities.

Acknowledging the lack of inclusivity in the traditional yoga scene, particularly for minorities and those not fitting the "yogi" stereotype, Jamel decided to pursue yoga teacher training to inspire others to embark on their own journeys. His unwavering dedication and enthusiasm caught the attention of his teacher, who saw in Jamel the potential to connect with a community beyond their reach.

"Jamel, I believe you can serve as a bridge to a community I can't access. Share the transformative practice you've embraced with others seeking solace, just as you did."

In 2016 he founded The Trap Yoga and Massage Studio. A company with a mission to introduce, teach and encourage health and wellness as a lifestyle.

Jamel believes that the way towards a life free from restriction is by embracing the uncomfortable parts of your life story and inspiring others to do the same as a result of your actions. Jamel developed the T.R.A.P method. A four part system that teaches busy teams/individuals to create a lifestyle that pours into themselves first before spreading to others.

For the past 12 years, Jamel has cultivated a dedicated following, with thousands joining his yoga classes and transformative training sessions. His book has reached hundreds of readers, popularizing the T.R.A.P. method to educate, motivate, and unite communities in wellness. In the heart of downtown Detroit, Jamel established The Trap Yoga and Massage Studio, drawing crowds to its innovative wellness approach. Additionally, he launched LiL Trap Yogis, a children's wellness initiative, recognizing the value of teaching at all levels. Understanding the collaborative nature of his work, Jamel has trained numerous individuals in his methodology, aiming to certify 10000 yoga instructors in the Trusting, Revealing, Accepting, Practice (T.R.A.P.) Method.
